Looking at the environment where he lives his everyday life, where now many different nationalities, ethnic groups and cultures live together, Stefano Reia could not but think about the changes happening in society at large. The conclusion he got to is that until now the exchange betwen different peoples and ethnic groups has been mainly cultural while in the very near future it will be also somatic and psychosomatic, actually clear signs of it are already visibile. Therefore he became curious and wanted to perceive and make people perceive how mankind is changing, making concepts such as nationality and ethnic group no longer local but global.
Through his photographs and the graphic work on them Stefano Reia also underlines the anxiety of the host society towards the generative / reproductive predominance of the new citizens who, in the future, and despite our acceptance, will establish the new morphological and cultural features of the populations, also in the Western countries.
